Hi! Welcome to Dry Flies and Timber Bulls! I started this site as a way to collaborate and communicate with other outdoor enthusiasts who enjoy casting dry flies to trout in the summertime and chasing elk in dark timber in the Fall. I am an outdoor enthusiast and spend most of my extra time outdoors. My day job is a high school principal and teacher. I honed my passion for elk hunting while growing up in Northwest Montana and I discovered my passion for fly fishing while attending college in Montana. In order to save money in college, I became an accomplished fly tier. As an educator, my primary fly fishing season occurs in the summertime where I have perfected, through trial and error, an array of dry flies that suit my fly fishing needs. Also through trial and error, I have learned the art of still hunting elk in the thick timber of northwest Montana. For those of you who enjoy these activities, and hope to gain some insightful information, this site is for you! Enjoy.
